You are twelve, so I do not think fitness is an issue. You should start working on things that could make a difference in your game. Few examples are:

Make sure you are very good with both feet. If not, start working on that. I.e. if you are right handed, the best way is during the week to pretend you are lefty and try to make every pass, control the ball, score, etc…everything with your left foot.

Practice and master free kicks. Make a wall and practice your shots over or around it.

Learn the tactics and strategies for your position in the field.

Probly the best thing you could do is to get plying time. Experince is very important. Besides playing you should watch just mentaly gonnig over plays and moves is a great help. Watch what the pros do or spend a lot of time at a local feild. You should also practice dribleing without looking at your feet you have to be able to veiw the playing feild as dribble. Also practice with both feet this is a great great skill to learn it comes in handy way more than you would expect. You should also juggle the ball with your feet a lot it builds ball control for stopping those high flyers and also its fun. and for basic shooting find a big wall and prctice kicking and stoping the ball. My freinds and i would spend hours before pratice just kicking the ball at our school wall you would be surprised how much it helps. And lastly dont be afraid to try new things and never give up. Hey i hope this helps i love the sprot just as much as any1 else and if i could play all the time i would.

@thegame310 even if MLS isn’t that big, at least the players can play football for a living.
